Plug repair
Connectors of assemblies that draw high currents often have thermal problems when corrosion progresses due to dirt and moisture.
Often the plastic parts melt or the contact resistance becomes so high that the assemblies fail.
The following connectors are particularly affected:
-Fuel pump on the tank
-Fuel pump safety switch (-94 only)
-Fan switch on the radiator
-various high-performance relays
-Cooling fan
- Headlights
Such plugs are often manufacturer-specific and have been replaced by newer variants.
This also makes them very difficult to find.
Since I have already repaired many plugs and sometimes replaced entire cable harnesses, many of these plugs are available from stock.
