FDS2000 repair / programming service
The FDS2000 was Ford's first digital diagnostic system in the 1990s and was later replaced by the WDS. This enabled a computer-aided, comprehensive diagnosis of all electronic systems in the various vehicle models.
Unfortunately, many workshops often disposed of the old systems when switching to the new ones.
I was able to get a defective FDS2000 and save it by looking for and replacing the defective components on the circuit board. I can also repair other FDSs on request.
In this case, please contact us by email.

So what can you do with the FDS2000?
The diagnostic options are very diverse and possible for all Ford models from the 90s, whether Fiesta, Escort, Sierra, Mondeo, Scorpio, Transit or the more rare models such as Probe, Puma, Maverick, etc.
Any electrical system can be tested with the FDS2000, some through simple guided voltage or resistance tests, others through complex digital testing processes:
-Charging voltage
-Engine control
-ABS
-Transmission control (automatic)
-Central locking / alarm system
-PATS system (more about it below)

PATS-System:
PATS stands for Passive Anti Theft System and is Ford's own anti-theft system. It is based on a transponder in the key, which gives the control unit the go-ahead to start. Without this go-ahead, the engine will not start or will switch off again immediately.
The system includes the control unit (usually integrated in the engine control unit), the transponder in the key, the reader on the ignition lock and an LED for status display (often integrated in the clock).
The system is very reliable and rarely causes problems.
You can program new keys yourself using the colored master key.
However, there are two scenarios where you as a normal user cannot proceed:
-Replacing the engine control unit
-lost master key.
In both of these cases, the only thing that helps is reprogramming with a suitable programming system such as the FDS2000. To do this, access to the PATS system within the control unit is created using adapter cables and the new control unit or master key is taught using a test and programming routine. I can also test or program your car on request. If you are interested, please contact me by email.
