Since all needles are removed for replacement, they must then be correctly reinserted and adjusted if necessary.

The measuring devices are all analogue, which means they cannot be adjusted electronically.

It is important that the needles are correctly positioned so that the displays are correct.

 

If you want to install the foils yourself, you usually have only limited options for adjusting the measuring devices.

The simple option is to compare and adjust until it fits:

Letting the needles settle at the zero point and then reinserting them in the same place works with the following measuring devices:

-Voltmeter

-Oil pressure

-Boost pressure

All other measuring devices do not have a clearly defined zero point and need to be adjusted in a slightly more complex way.​

Speed ​​indicator:

by driving tests with GPS and correct if necessary

Tachometer:

With the engine running, measure the speed with a multimeter and compare, correct if necessary

Water temperature:

Let the engine warm up and when the thermostat opens, place the needle in the middle.

Fuel gauge:

BEFORE removing, take a photo of the fuel level, after installing, switch on the ignition and wait about 20 seconds, then place the needle.
